Training + Coaching
Conference support
Meetings produce quality results when quality written inputs, and outcome documents, are in place. Conferencing may be low budget and online. Or it may need to meet the several needs of convenors, hosts, sponsors and audiences.
Facilitators and rapporteurs (note-takers) are resource people who are able to track consensus-building as it unfolds. They have a sensitive grasp of where there is common ground, and where there may be differences of views.
The next step is to write up discussions in ways that preserve that consensus, and therefore trust in the process. Live posting, streaming and recording everything that is said may actually work against this, inhibiting discussion.
I’ve supported busy events teams including at large, international meetings.
I regularly edit conference proceedings.
I’ve been a speaker at events held by King’s College London, North East London NHS Foundation Trust, the Commonwealth, and the UK Council of Professionalism Teachers, among others.
Coaching and Training
Coaching is part of my standard support for individual authors, on request, and is not charged separately. I have also given training workshops for students and professional teams seeking to improve their writing and editing practice.
